The conference is open to all researchers, teachers and others interested in the area of applied ethology and animal welfare.The conference is organised around four theme sessions which all include a plenary talk and shorter oral presentations. At the end of the conference a ‘free papers’ session is organised with short oral presentations. We plan to have two parallel sessions with separate themes for each session. There will be 4-6 workshops optional to organise for anyone during one afternoon.

An internationally outstanding scientist will be invited to give the David Wood-Gush Memorial lecture.
Posters will be on display during the whole conference. Coffee breaks and one evening give plenty of time for poster reviewing. A prize will be awarded the best poster.
On-line registration and submission of abstracts will open in December 2009. Deadline for abstract and poster submission is March 2010.
